AIG UNITED GUARANTY RECEIVES NAMB’S EAGLE AWARD

Event Marks Only Second Time In NAMB’s 32-Year History Eagle Award Is Presented

GREENSBORO, NC — During its annual national conference in Minneapolis this June, the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) awarded its prestigious Eagle Award to AIG United Guaranty for its long-term support of NAMB’s broker education program. Since the mid-1990s, that support has included designing courses to allow participating brokers to earn CEU credits as well as funds for NAMB’s education initiatives.

At the NAMB Gala Awards Dinner on June 14, Jim Nabors, President, NAMB Board of Directors, said AIG United Guaranty employees "stepped forward immediately to help" when NAMB started its education programs. "A major part of my confidence comes from their ongoing support, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with them this next year."

Christine Hagan, AIG United Guaranty assistant vice president of training and development, accepted the award on behalf of the company. "AIG United Guaranty is proud of its role and ongoing commitment to the mortgage broker industry," she said. "The entrepreneurial spirit of mortgage brokers means that they will find ways to make their operations more efficient, and broker response to the training and educational opportunities offered through NAMB continues to support this theory."

AIG United Guaranty’s involvement with NAMB began in 1997 during the planning stages of NAMB’s education programs. The company has also been instrumental in helping NAMB with its pre-conference education classes and continuing education programs.

AIG United Guaranty’s Training & Development Department offers a broad selection of on-line mortgage seminars, sales and personnel training, and industry-oriented courses.
