Charitable Contributions

United Guaranty and its parent company, American International Group, Inc. (AIG), share a long legacy of charitable contributions and volunteerism. We are committed to helping the non-profit community organizations our employees support in two key ways:

In addition, the AIG Disaster Relief Fund assists victims of natural and man-made disasters around the world.

Employee Leadership

Many service projects are initiated and led by United Guaranty's Employee Engagement Committee (EEC) and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Reflecting employee interests, ERGs have been formed by young professionals, veterans, women, black professionals, LGBT employees and allies, and others. ERG membership is open to United Guaranty employees in Greensboro, Atlanta, Chicago, and Southern Nevada.

Habitat for Humanity Project Involves Teams of United Guaranty Employees

Habitat Crew Dec. 2015
Four separate teams of United Guaranty employees helped build a new home for the Kpa family of Greensboro through a Habitat for Humanity project co-sponsored by three other Greensboro-area companies, including Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Replacements Ltd., and SunTrust.

United Guaranty volunteers painted the entire interior of the house with primer on Saturday, November 20. During December and January, other United Guaranty crews installed flooring, cabinets, shelves, and did additional painting on three separate workdays.

On February 26, 2016, a dedication ceremony was hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro and Ninh and Ayel Kpa and their three children. Originally from Vietnam, Ninh Kpa arrived in the United States in 2004, and the rest of the family followed in 2010.

United Guaranty built its first Habitat home in Greensboro in 2003. Over the past 13 years, United Guaranty contributed to several other Habitat houses, including two the company co-sponsored in 2014 and 2015 in the same Greensboro neighborhood as the Kpa's new home.
