Rate Runner Enhancements and Stronger Security from United Guaranty
New Rate Runner Fields Support Credit Union Underwriting Enhancements
United Guaranty recently announced unique underwriting requirements for credit union loans receiving a valid Desktop Underwriter® (DU®) or Loan Prospector® (LP®) recommendation.
- Effective December 8, 2013, when you get a rate quote via Rate Runner,® you’ll be able to specify that your loan has been underwritten by DU or LP.
- This will alert Rate Runner to use the unique underwriting requirements that went into effect November 4 for Credit Union loans receiving certain DU or LP recommendations.
- The DU and LP fields in Rate Runner also eliminate the need for you to contact United Guaranty for assistance obtaining rate quotes for loans with a DU Refer with Caution, LP Caution 500 A-minus Eligible, or LP Caution recommendation. As always, loans with these recommendations require a full-file MI submission to United Guaranty and are considered on a case-by-case basis.

New Security Feature for United Guaranty's MI Guide
United Guaranty is adding a new security feature to United Guaranty’s MI Guide® to help protect your—and your members'—information.
Please note United Guaranty does not allow multiple users to share a single user ID and password. This new security may cause problems with multiple-user accounts, because the security questions are personal. If you need an individual account, please register online by clicking the "New user? HERE" button on www.ugmiguide.com.
Starting December 11, 2013 when you sign in to MI Guide you'll be asked to create a set of questions and answers that can be used to verify your identity. You may be familiar with this type of security already, as it's used in many online banking websites.
After you've created your security questions and answers, you may be required to answer the questions from time to time, especially if you sign in from a different computer than usual. No other functionality will change.
Please note that, as you're creating the questions, if you don't enter any information for three minutes, your session will time out and you'll be returned to the MI Guide home page. If this happens, simply log in again.
If you have any problems signing in, please contact United Guaranty's ReadiResource Center® at 888.484.4636 or email UGC:readirep.
Thank you for choosing United Guaranty. We appreciate your business.
