September: In Celebration of Hard-Working Mortgage Pros

Ahh, September. There's a slight chill in the morning air and the school busses are back on the road to signal that it's time for us all to celebrate National Mortgage Professionals Month.

Actually, this September marks the first National Mortgage Professionals Month after United Guaranty worked with the National Day Calendar to have the ninth month of the year dedicated to the thousands of professionals nationwide who work hard to help families and individuals achieve the American Dream of home ownership.

At United Guaranty, we work hand-in-hand every day with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and credit union mortgage originators. We know how dedicated they are, and we initiated this effort to bring long-overdue recognition to these MVPs of our industry.

As part of our celebration, we've asked mortgage pros to share their stories with us. We're interested in hearing about the most rewarding parts of their jobs—the experiences that motivate them to come to work early, stay late, and strive on behalf of home buyers every day. The stories we've heard so far are truly inspiring, and we look forward to sharing some of them with you.

Greg Hare

As United Guaranty's Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Greg Hare oversees all customer service functions, including Claims Customer Service, Client Action Team, Client Service Team, Customer Contact Center, ReadiResource Center®, and Underwriting Customer Service. In the role, he is guiding United Guaranty's transformational efforts in putting the customer first by focusing on loyalty, satisfaction, and retention and is responsible for creating a customer-centric culture. He also has responsibility for Marketing and Communications, including all internal and external communications and marketing efforts for the company, including advertising, brand management, public and media relations, employee communications, and community affairs including charitable giving. He joined United Guaranty in January 2012 from AGL Resources, a natural gas holding company based in Atlanta. Prior to that, he held a variety of positions with marketing and advertising agencies in both Atlanta and New York, working on campaigns for brands like Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot, Holiday Inn, and ESPN, among others. He holds both a B.A. in Advertising and an MBA from the University of Florida.
